Cheers to Our december anniversaries
While December weddings are not as common as, say, June weddings, they do happen and they are so much fun. There’s that extra element of celebration in the air that bleeds over from the holidays and wraps the whole event in more joy, more hope, more love. This month we are photographing several weddings and look forward to capturing that same feeling for the brides, grooms and their families and friends. In doing so, we also want to take a moment to say Happy Anniversary to the couples whose weddings we had the pleasure of shooting in years past. We love you all!

Pixels will be shooting more winter weddings (in fact several this month), but we are keenly aware that when 2017 arrives and we all return to the regular day-to-day, there will be more than a few brides-to-be out there who will need to get organized and start planning for spring, summer and fall weddings.
Pixels has worked over the last 11 years with some phenomenal vendors, at amazing locations and for absolutely wonderful couples. If you’re engaged and are looking for engagement and wedding photographers who are creative, focused on you and your vision, can help shape that vision and then capture it for posterity, we hope you’ll give us a look.

We’re now booking our Christmas at Home portraits, but we are also creating gifts in our workshop for those of you who already have a photo or photos you love from Pixels and would like us to create a gift for you or someone you love this year.
Prints, cards, canvases, albums, jewelry, ornaments, etc. are available for order using any photo or photos that we’ve taken for you at any time. It doesn’t have to be holiday in theme, as long as Pixels took it and you love it. Check out a gallery of Holiday cards we created to give you ideas.

For Christmas 2016, we’re leaving the lights off in our studio and only decking the halls we use as a family. Surprise!!
But it’s not because a relative is coming in an RV with a chemical toilet that needs dumping. And thanks for asking.
We’re taking photos this year at YOUR home, because that is where the holiday magic happens. The magic of cousins and siblings cracking each other up, relatives comparing diets, cars, & travel stories, people quibbling over football games and superior technology; the sharing, bargaining, eating, celebrating, reminiscing, and all the other things that make up The Abject Comedy of A FAMILY CHRISTMAS.

So, here’s the proposal: Get your house decorated (if you want), tree and stockings up, kids dressed, antlers for the dog, etc. and then let us come to your home to photograph your family, friends, neighbors, pets, coworkers and anyone else in your tribe. Be elegant, be campy, be casual, be silly, be seriously festive, it’s up to you and yours. Just make a date and when you call us we’ll help you brainstorm and plan.
The fee of $125 is due when you make your reservation. We will provide 5 digital images for families with up to 3 children. This includes the printing rights along with the option to purchase prints, cards, and gifts. Pets and additional children or family members are welcome for an additional $25. Love Actually (2003)
Prime Minister: Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often, it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there – fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge – they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around.
One last thought… Christmas is truly a time to capture a memory and moment in time. Photos at your home are often the most memorable and regardless of whatever else is happening in your life – love is what manifests this season.
Love among the vines ~ Piccione Vineyards Engagement
Kendra and Nathan love The Avett Brothers, wine, wineries and each other. The end.
Ok, there’s more to them than just that. We met Kendra at a bridal show this past March and loved chatting with her and hearing about her engagement to Nathan. They met in high school and began dating when he left for college at ASU. Before long, he was coming home A LOT and they became inseparable and still are. These two love to go to NC wineries when they have down time and they knew that a vineyard would be perfect spot to photograph their engagement session. On November 4th, we all met at Piccione Vineyards, armed with a blanket, our equipment, and sunshine and proceeded to wander among the vines. 
The Piccione Vineyard boasts amazing views of the rolling landscape of the Yadkin Valley and NC mountains in the distance and they didn’t disappoint us that day. Watching these two crack up was especially fun. Kendra mentioned that Nathan ribs her mercilessly and said that she “usually deserves it.” The couple will be getting married at The Barn at Blueberry Hill on May 20th of 2017 and we’re looking forward to the day, the ceremony and watching them make it official. 
We really like this couple and seeing them with the expanse of vineyards behind them is metaphor enough for us. Here’s to lifting a glass and toasting years and acres of laughter, teasing, harmony, prosperity and many good vintages.
