It Pays to Refer
Did you know that showing gratitude causes a release of dopamine – a trigger of the neural circuitry in our brain stems – and makes us feel good? It does. So let me just send myself a shot by saying THANK YOU to all of our clients these nearly 20 years. WE LOVE YOU. One of the ways we show our gratitude year round is our Referral Program. So if you are, or have you ever been, a Pixels on Paper photography client, listen up!
Any existing client of Pixels (you’ve hired us for a wedding or portrait session of one type or another) who refers us to someone who then books us for a wedding, will receive their own FREE portrait session PLUS $250 in print credits from us.
Any existing client of Pixels who refers us to someone who then books us for a portrait session, will receive their own FREE portrait session that year PLUS $50 in print credits from us. For every additional referral they send us, they will receive yet another $50 print credit. The more you send others who book with us, the more rewards we’re happy to lavish on you.
We want our existing clients to make sure to tell the folks they are referring to us to mention them, so MENTION THE REFERRING CLIENT’S NAME, so that they get the rewards they deserve. If someone books a wedding or portrait and doesn’t mention that they heard about us from you, how will we be able to shower you with some love? Newborn Sofia
This little nugget is Sofia and she telepathically shared with us that shades of purple are her favorite. Ok, she didn’t, but that’s what moms and older sisters and pro photographers are for. We can coordinate.
I tend to request that newborns and parents come to our studio for baby’s first portraits within the first week to 10 days, but little Sofia was delivered by C-section, so her mom brought her in at 3 weeks. She was scrumptious. Accompanied by siblings, she slept peaceful tucked into their arms or lying in warm bundles, and when she was awake she would look into the camera like a rock star.
Sofia’s mom Jessica learned about us, was actually referred to us, by our dear friend and client Lindsey York, who reaped the benefits of our referral program.
In the months ahead, I’m so looking forward to photographing Sofia for her full one year package and we’re already working to design wall collections in her home. We love this sweet family and how they are welcoming Sophia and planning around her addition to their family.

Sharing is Caring – The win-win of client referrals & community
Ever heard that phrase? Well sharing really is caring when it comes to our clients and the reciprocal love fest that happens when they tell others about us. Lately, we’ve been musing about how much our clients stick with us over the years. In fact – true, loyal friendships have developed and we consider more than two handfuls of our clients to be family now. It’s a real perk of this gig: doing life with you guys.
